    Description

For bid is an original circa 1916 "Hand Book of Practical Information Regarding THE ARGENTINE REPUBLIC Prepared by The National City Bank of New York for Visitors from the United States."  Published by the "Buenos Aires Branch" of the bank located at 84, San Martin, Buenos Aires.  Pocket handbook with brown covers and about 32 numbered pages inside.  A downtown (business district) map of streets in Buenos Aires is bound among the pages, too.  WONDERFUL information and charts, conversions, information about the culture and peoples of the Republic, etc.  Information on restaurants, hotels, cafes, parks, major businesses, etc. Printed by "Guillermo Krieger" of Buenos Aires, Republic of Argentina.
Booklet's staples are VERY rusted.  The rust has caused brown stains to the paper of the booklet in areas along the spine of the booklet.  It's a great piece of US tourist history produced by a New York bank.  Booklet is just over 6 inches tall.
